The print shows the conclusion of one of the miraculous events in Jesus’ life. Jesus directs his disciples to travel by boat across the Sea of Galilee, intending to join them after a period of meditation and prayer in the mountains. A storm sweeps the boat of disciples off course and Jesus rescues them by walking across the surface of the water. Overcome by fear and thinking he is a ghost, the disciples panic. Jesus calms the waters and saves them all. The disciples, in awe of this occurrence state, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
