Waterfalls in center with cliff and trees to right. Woods and mountains to left of river. Fisherman standing along river bank to left of falls.
The main subject of Valley Falls – Virginia, a daunting waterfall, displays raw natural beauty in its strongest form and undoubtedly impressed viewers. The angle and sharp rise of the falls gives the impression of great height. At the base, the crystal waters foam intensely. A fisherman casts his line downstream and offers the viewer a visual reference for the height of the falls.
