Five celebrated yachts; the “Magic,” “Idler,” “America,” “Dauntless” and “Cambria,” are pictured in this print. The lithograph commemorates the International Yacht Race, a forty-mile circuit beginning at the Staten Island Club House, traveling around the S.W. Spit, to and around the light ship and back to the clubhouse. “Magic” won the race in 3 hours, 33 minutes and 54 seconds. The print details the event’s facts, including the official times for each yacht that successfully crossed the finish line.
