Field Trips & School Programs

The Springfield Museums create memorable experiences for school age students by enhancing schools’ science, social studies, language arts or art curriculum. We offer a broad range of programs for all grades and interest levels. Teachers may choose from a series of special interpretive tours, science demonstrations, art discovery programs and local history activities.

Group Tours

Bring your group of ten or more people to the Springfield Museums and enjoy a discounted rate. We can tailor your tour so you can discover our collections and exhibits on your own or with a trained and friendly docent. A highlights tour is available in each museum.

Advance reservations are required and should be made at least four weeks in advance.

Host Your Event

We can accommodate small groups and larger functions. Each event is especially tailored to provide a memorable and pleasurable experience. Let our events coordinator help you choose a location in one of our four stellar Museums or outside on our private lawns, surrounded by whimsical Dr. Seuss sculptures.

Scout Camp-Ins

Scout groups can enjoy exciting overnight programs that offer a variety of hands-on activities, games and demonstrations throughout the Science Museum while earning a participation patch. Afternoon programs are also available for younger scouts.
