Working from the nude female form, learn how to construct a sculpture using soft, hollow, clay tubes. Once the basic masses are established you can carve and apply more clay to clarify the detail. No awkward armatures or hollowing out, allowing you to work quickly and with more immediacy. Emphasis is on capturing the dynamics of the pose through the study of basic artists’ anatomy. Using red terracotta clay, the sculptures can be up to 24”and will be kiln fired.
