In June 2022, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Latino inaugurated the Molina Family Latino Gallery with its first exhibition, “¡Presente! A Latino History of the United States.” The Latino Museum opened the gallery at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and will offer exhibitions and programs there over the course of 10 years leading up to the opening of the museum’s new building. In this lecture, staff from the National Museum of the American Latino will share this exhibition and will preview their plans to build a permanent home in the nation’s capital.
