It’s time to paint spring! Too many petals, not a problem! Learn to simplify complex flower shapes to capture the essence of the flower. Composition, value structure, color harmony, temperature and chroma will be discussed. You’ll learn how to add poetry to your pastel painting and emphasis will be placed on pastel application and ways to achieve subtlety. This workshop will consist of a one-hour demo along with a hand-out. Following the demo, attendees will warm-up with a blind contour drawing and a color study exercise before the start of their main pastel painting. Lots of personal instruction to be provided at your easel and uninterrupted painting time. This workshop is for any level. Supply list provided.
