Andris Nelsons conducts Kendall and Beethoven Piano Concertos No. 2 and 4 with Paul Lewis on the piano. This is Andris Nelsons’ ninth season as the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Music Director. We have orchestra seating for the performance of the following: Hannah KENDALL The Spark Catchers; BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No. 2 and the BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No. 4.
Internationally regarded as one of the leading musicians of his generation, Paul Lewis’s cycles of core piano works by Beethoven and Schubert have received unanimous critical and public acclaim worldwide and consolidated his reputation as one of the world’s foremost interpreters of the central European classical repertoire. We’ll enjoy an engaging pre-concert lecture on the bus by Walter Carroll and lunch upon arrival at the Prelude Restaurant located in Symphony Hall.
