Are you drawn to the mysteries of the Night? If so, gather some of your favorite nighttime photos and learn how to create a moody nocturne in pastel. A one-hour demo utilizing black paper will show you the steps involved to create a convincing night scene in soft pastel. Learn how the night changes the values and colors of the landscape or interiors, and how objects fade into darkness. Light sources and their different effects on color temperature will be discussed. Focus will be about application of pastel, with focus on handling of values, edges, and color choices. There will be plenty of individual instruction and uninterrupted painting time! This workshop is for all levels.
