This display tells the story of the making of the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden created by Lark Grey Dimond-Cates, Geisel’s stepdaughter. Bronze maquettes from the sculpture garden accompany the step-by-step process that led to the popular sculpture garden that includes a full-size rendering of Theodor Geisel with hands crafted from a plaster-cast of his very own artistic hands.
