Young girl in red dress leaning over green couch holding onto string white kitten is playing with.
Currier & Ives produced dozens of idealized portraits of women and children. Most, like Little Annie, were titled with the popular names of the day. The firm produced four versions of this print. In two scenes, Annie is shown playing with a dog and in the others she is enjoying the company of a cat. Customers often purchased personalized portrait prints for themselves or friends.
