Because every object entrusted to the Museums becomes part of our permanent collection, each proposed gift is carefully reviewed by our curatorial team and Collections Committee. We consider whether an object:
- Supports the Museums’ collecting priorities
- Complements and strengthens existing collections
- Can be properly preserved and cared for according to museum standards

To ensure the proper care and documentation of every object, we ask that you do not deliver or mail items to the Museums without first making arrangements with a member of our curatorial team.
