Springfield Science Museum, Changing Exhibitions Gallery, Second Floor

Enter a realm of fanciful gingerbread houses created by local bakeries, schools, youth groups, individuals and families as part of our annual Gingerbread House Competition.

Contestants were inspired by favorite holiday stories, historic places, and their own imaginations to create these marvelous gingerbread displays. Come take a stroll through this magical world filled with gingerbread houses, decorated holiday trees, and scenes inspired by the classic holiday tale A Christmas Carol.

Visitors can vote for their favorites in the following categories:

  • Professional: Bake Shops, Caterers, Restaurants, or Professional Bakers
  • Adult: Individual or group, age 18 & up
  • Youth: Individual or group, age 8-17

HOLIDAY FAMILY FUN
Saturdays & Sundays, through December 22. Free with museum admission.

  • Visit with Santa or Mrs. Claus, 11 am–2 pm.
  • Holiday crafts and gallery games with the Elves, 11 am–3 pm.
