The Museum of Fine Arts' Currier & Ives 2007 lecture series will conclude on February 25, at 2 p.m., with "Currier & Ives and the Emergence of American Mass Media," presented by Daniel Czitrom, professor of history at Mount Holyoke College.
Prints by female artists are on view at the Museum of Fine Arts in Springfield through June 24, 2007, in the special exhibition Women in Print: Extraordinary Examples from the 20th Century.
A selection of limited edition artwork from the Dr. Seuss estate will be on view at the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum at the Quadrangle from February 17 through May 27 in the special exhibition The Cat in the Hat Turns 50. The exhibition has been planned in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the famous Dr. Seuss book.
The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with A Chinese New Year Celebration: The Year of the Boar. Activities are free with museum admission.
The Springfield Museums have planned a week of prehistoric fun during February school vacation. "Dinosaur Daze" activities will be offered from February 19 through 23 and are free with museum admission unless noted.

Quilt National '05, the fourteenth in a series of international juried competitions of art quilts, will be on view from February 13 through April 22, 2007, at the Museum of Fine Arts at the Quadrangle.

The event will celebrate the opening of Life Through Time: Dinosaurs & Ice Age Mammals, a display of huge, roaring robotic creatures.
