Thank you for joining us for this week of virtual dinosaur activities! To end our week we’d like you to have some fun and maybe even help us build a virtual scrapbook to celebrate this week.
We can’t wait to be together at the Museums again soon!
Test your knowledge with some dinosaur trivia! You can even challenge your friends and family to beat your score.
What do you get when a dinosaur walks through a strawberry patch?
What should you do if you find a blue coelophysis?
Try to cheer it up!
What do you get when two T-rexes run into each other?
Why didn’t the dinosaur cross the road?
Roads weren’t invented yet!
What do you call a sleeping stegosaurus?
You will need:
- A piece of paper
- Crayons or markers
- Wooden pieces, such as toothpicks, wooden tasting spoons, popsicle sticks, etc.
- Other collage supplies like paper or cotton swabs (optional)
Use your wooden pieces to start shaping a dinosaur skeleton. We made a skull, back, arms, and legs. Add final details using your crayons or markers.
Share your creations with us using #AtTheMuseums.
We love to show off our dinosaur fashions! If you have dinosaur apparel like shirts, dresses, costumes, or even a onesie, we’d love to see it!
Our Family Engagement Coordinator, Jenny, loves to take museum selfies. Share your dinosaur selfies from Springfield Museums and beyond!
Through decades of programs at Springfield Museums we’ve created thousands of dinosaur art activities! Share your photos of projects past or one that you’ve made this week!
Share using the hashtag #AtTheMuseums or tag the museums.
