In this course, students will review and implement the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Using an array of materials and processes (drawing, painting, printmaking) students will practice and improve their studio skills as they create works of art from life. Projects will include portraiture, architectural sketches, still-lifes, color studies, and explorations in both 2- and 3-dimensional design. Visits to the Museums’ special exhibits of works by artist Ai Weiwei and sculptor Don Gummer will provide inspiration.
Please bring a brown bag lunch and snack and dress to make art.
