  • Make Your Own Planisphere
  • Astronomy book giveaway
  • Space-themed face painting
  • Meteorite display by Planetarium educator Jack Megas
  • How to View August’s Rare Solar Eclipse –  presentation by curator of physical science Richard Sanderson, 1:30 pm

Free with museum admission!

Astronomy Day is a national event that was started in 1973 by Doug Berger, the president of the Astronomical Association of Northern California.
