AstroQuest Online

March 15, 2022 @ 7:00 pm8:00 pm

This is an online event!

As the universe expands, be sure that your knowledge and appreciation of all things astronomical expands along with it! This monthly virtual series features a Q&A segment on a topic in astronomy as well as a tour of the sights you can observe. We will also be treated to photographs from local amateur astronomers highlighting recent observations.

This month: It’s been a little over a year since the Perseverance rover landed on Mars. We’ll get an update on its activities including the flights of the first drone to fly on another planet. We’ll finish with a virtual fly-through tour of the crater where it is working using imagery generated from NASA missions.

Special night sky extra: Is the Ides of March an astronomical event and how is it related to a common technology we use every day?

Topic may change if there is a news-worthy development worth covering.
