An audio visual look at the history surrounding the Friendship Dolls and the Ambassador Dolls covering the era of 1927-1947. In 1927 nearly 13,000 dolls were collected by American children and sent to Japan on a world peace initiative. Japan reciprocated sending one of a kind works of art, the Ambassador Dolls that live in our museums across the country. The book is the story of a little girl who participated and how it affected her world view for the rest of her life.
