Brrr’rr…Chillin’ Out at the Icy Ends of the World (5 Days)

July 12, 2021 @ 9:00 am3:30 pm
| Cost: $252 | Cost for Members: $215

Explore the frigid Arctic and Antarctic! Learn how fascinating animals in the Arctic survive their harsh worlds. How do they stay warm, raise young, and deal with climate change? Why are icebergs often blue, and why do so many giant creatures live on the bottom of the Antarctic sea floor? Learn about the prehistoric animals preserved for millennia in the frozen north. Experiment with “blubber,” salt water, and density; light and darkness; camouflage and more. Create your own arctic field guide. Learn how global warming is affecting humans and animal habitats at the ends of the world. Through experiments, hands-on activities, encounters with live critters, and tours of the Museums and special exhibit Wild Kratts: Creature Power, you’ll be in awe of nature at the icy ends of the world!

Please dress for mess, bring a snack and a brown bag lunch.
