The Limited Palette, famously used by Anders Zorn, gets at the heart of the nature of light and color. Using only the primary colors, the artist is compelled to interpret what he sees, instead of copy. In the process, he or she gains a deep understanding of how all colors are connected and relate to each other. Students will learn applicable methods to push the boundaries of the limited palette, all the while exploring color theory and the inner workings of light, form and color. Supply list provided.
