Following the Museums a la Carte lecture with Amanda Goodheart Parks Ph.D., join docent Robert Girard in the Wood Museum of Springfield History for a discussion about Indian Motocycle collector Esta Manthos.
Esta and her late husband, Charles, founded the Indian Motocycle Museum, which was dedicated to the preservation of the history of the world famous motorcycle made in Springfield from 1901- 1953, in East Springfield. Esta donated the entire collection to “the Springfield Museums Association to assure it will remain in the city where the historic company was founded more than a century ago.”
