Ginger and cinnamon come from the Far East, where they have been used for flavoring food for at least 5,000 years. Now they are popular the world over, not least in festive foods. This class examines their origins, their growth (including locally), and their culinary uses especially in festive pies, gingerbreads, cookies, and drinks. There will be samples to taste and recipes to take home!
