Line, color, shape and repetition are essential for successful design. Students will implement the elements of art to experiment with the fundamentals of design using a variety of 2-D, mixed media techniques to create and explore patterns. We’ll draw inspiration from visits to the Museums’ galleries and the special exhibit Washi Transformed where contemporary artists work with traditional Japanese paper to create complex sculptures and dramatic installations. Bring a snack and lunch. Dress for mess!
