This class is an introduction to learning how to draw the figure. Proportions, gesture, form, value relationships, and a basic understanding of anatomical structure will be emphasized. Graphite pencils and charcoal will be used to explore how to draw the figure in a realistic manner. We will draw inspiration from the classical statues in the museum, art-historical drawings, our own modeling stints, and selfies!
Please bring a brown bag lunch and snack. DRESS TO MAKE ART!
