Ever wonder how the artists Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo created their drawings? Learn the Renaissance techniques applied to subjects with a modern sensibility. Explore drawing methods through such ancient media as silverpoint (a metal point stylus), inks (walnut), as well as charcoal and graphs. We will cover composition, the elements, and principles of design, along with chiaroscuro. Historical background of artists and methods will be discussed as they relate to lessons.
