Our holiday season kick-off featuring the Grinch! Free with museum admission.

Hollywood & the Holidays, 10 am-5 pm
Amazing gingerbread creations inspired by Christmas movies created by local bakeries, schools, adults and kids displayed along with festively decorated holiday trees, enchanting lights, and a backdrop of beautifully painted murals. Vote for your favorite! (Exhibit on view through December 31.)

BeanBoozled, 12-4 pm
Explore the special exhibition Sweet: A Tasty Journey and try your luck at this popular jelly bean challenge. When you spin the wheel, will you get a sweet treat or a nasty surprise? (Line closes at 3:30 pm.)

Mount Crumpit Derby, 12-4 pm
Design a mini-sleigh to race down our mini-mountain and see who can bring the Grinch down to Whoville the fastest!

Art Discovery Center, 12-4 pm
Trace Chinese characters, try on costumes, play gallery games, peek under lift-up panels on the Wall of Symbols to discover the meaning behind Asian motifs, put on a puppet show, and make an art project. Today’s Project: Make a Gingerbread House Card.

Christmas Photo Booth, 12-4 pm
Pose as a snowflake, star, or Christmas tree!

Music of The Three Wise Men, 1-3 pm
The Three Wise Men are a funky, jazzy, Christmas-y brass trio from Western Massachusetts. Enjoy their own brand of musical gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Meet the Grinch, 1-4 pm
Meet the furry green recluse who lives above Whoville. Get a photo taken, and give him a hug or a high five.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas Cartoon & Sing-a-Long; 3-3:30 pm
Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a 1966 Christmas animated musical comedy television special directed by Chuck Jones. It is based on the eponymous children’s book by Dr. Seuss, the story of the Grinch trying to take away Christmas from the townsfolk of Whoville below his mountain hideaway. Sing-a-Long to the classic songs!
