This introductory course covers painting techniques with an emphasis on classical and contemporary applications of oil, acrylic, casein, and tempera media. Topics include the use of drawing, composition, values, and color. The objective of this course is to provide students with the skills necessary to create paintings by using knowledge of pictorial composition, principles of graphic design, and color theory. Supply list provided at the first class.
