November 15, 2022 @ 7:45 am5:30 pm
| Cost: $159 | Cost for Members: $135

New Date!

Join historian Brooke Barbier in Concord as we revisit the day the Revolutionary War began.  Understand why the war began, how the battles unfolded and the significance of Patriots Day – a day that is celebrated today in Massachusetts.  Our tour begins in Concord, at the Old Orchard House where Louisa May Alcott wrote and set her beloved classic, Little Women followed by a group lunch at the historic Concord Inn.  In Lexington, we’ll visit Lexington Green where the first shots rang out and two other sites where Paul Revere stopped on his midnight ride. In Concord, we’ll stop at the Old North Bridge where the second battle of that revolutionary day took place. Brooke Barbier received her PhD in American History from Boston College with a focus on Boston’s social and cultural life during and after the American Revolution. Offering spirited tours of Boston’s Freedom Trail and beyond, she is the author of Boston in the American Revolution: A Town Versus an Empire and co-host of the “Beer Makes History” podcast series.
