Portrait of Anne Boleyn

The Life of Anne Boleyn

June 2, 2022 @ 12:15 pm1:30 pm
| Cost: $4 | Cost for Members: FREE

Anne Boleyn was Queen Consort of England for only three years, but she is one of the most well-known Queens in England’s history. It was in order to marry Anne Boleyn, that King Henry VIII broke from the church in Rome and established the Church of England. Anne was the second of Henry VIII’s six wives and was also the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. She was many things: intelligent, forceful, a religious reformer, a charitable queen, an expert in courtly love, and the first queen to be executed. You will be amazed by her short but extraordinary life.

Presented by Janet Avery, BA, University of Connecticut, and member, Richard III Society
