Dive in and explore the sea’s mighty whales, sharks, seals, turtles, and spooky glow-in-the-dark creatures who live at the bottom of the ocean. Did a giant squid really capsize a ship centuries ago? Who were the mermaids who lured curious sailors? Learn about sea mirages and the famous ghost ship the Flying Dutchman, ancient treasures, and some of the fearsome pirates that sailed and terrorized the oceans blue. Listen to whales communicate and experiment with sound and smell and discover how creatures of the deep use these senses. Then, launch into space with a planetarium program as we learn about stars and planets in our amazing solar system. Create star art projects and your own space rocket with recyclables as we travel to Mars and back. Through hands-on activities, encounters with live critters, and tours of the special exhibit Wild Kratts: Creature Power, you’ll marvel at some wonders of our planet Earth and beyond!
Please dress for mess, bring a snack and a brown bag lunch.
