Mysterious Marvels of the Sea & Sky

Join us for two days or the whole week!
Discover mysterious worlds below and above the sea. Learn about seashells, shorebirds, sea creatures, sunshine, and the solar system. Who are those eerie undersea creatures that glow in the dark?  How do organisms survive without sunlight? What is bioluminescence? Learn why creatures like the Antarctic sea spider, some sea stars and crabs, and the Colossal Squid grow to be ginormous. Learn about one of the largest ocean volcanoes, and why volcanoes and their ecosystems are so important. What are black smokers and tubeworms? Explore the magical, colorful world of the coral reef, learn about a newly discovered reef and why these ecosystems are so important to our planet. Create your own underwater designs and imaginative sea creatures using fun recyclables. Visits to the Planetarium, live animal exhibits, and Nature Cat, as well as live performances will add to the fun!
