Tour the Neue Galerie’s collection of paintings, sculptures, works on paper, decorative arts, and photographs created in Austria and Germany between 1890 and 1940. Then, explore 4,000 years of art and Jewish culture at the Jewish Museum with a guided tour of the permanent collection. Also on view, Chagall, Lissitzky, Malevich: The Russian Avant-Garde in Vitebsk, 1918-1922 will focus on the People’s Art School (1918-1922), founded by Marc Chagall. Through some 120 works, the exhibition will present the artistic output of these three artists and the little-known history of modernity and the Russian Avant-Garde movement.
