Learn techniques to render life–like animals in watercolors from award–winning wildlife artist Steve Hamlin. Starting from a provided preliminary drawing, we’ll experiment with painting backgrounds, then move into capturing fur, wet and/or reflective surfaces like eyes, tongues, and noses. We’ll examine underlying musculature and anatomy and the way it is affected by light and shadow. Some experience with watercolors is recommended. Most materials will be available for loan or purchase. Supply list provided.
