Learn techniques to render life-like birds in watercolors from award-winning wildlife artist, Steve Hamlin. Starting from a provided preliminary drawing, we’ll experiment with painting backgrounds, then move into capturing feathers, wet and/or reflective surfaces like eyes and beaks. We’ll discuss underlying musculature and anatomy and the way it is affected by light and shadow. Some experience with watercolors is recommended. Bring a bag lunch and drawing and painting materials. Supply list provided.
