Learn techniques to render life–like birds in watercolors from award–winning wildlife artist Steve Hamlin. Starting from a provided preliminary drawing, we’ll experiment with painting backgrounds, then move into capturing feathers, wet and/or reflective surfaces like eyes and beaks. We’ll discuss underlying musculature and anatomy and the way it is affected by light and shadow. Some experience with watercolors is recommended.
