Learn techniques to paint life-like butterflies in watercolors from wildlife artist Steve Hamlin. Starting from a provided preliminary drawing, we’ll explore painting settings, markings, and other typical details of these colorful and attractive insects. We’ll discuss the form, movement, behavior, and typical habitat of our subject, and the way it is affected by light and shadow. Some experience with watercolors is recommended. Most materials will be available for loan or purchase. Supply list provided.
