Learn how to paint the portrait of a devoted family member—your pet! Working from a photo reference of your own choosing, create a life-like oil painting of your furry friend. In this two-day workshop, we will capture critical proportions and shapes in the drawing stage of the painting and come to understand how to conceptualize light and render three-dimensional form. We will examine the process of mixing accurate colors, and finally, learn techniques for creating textures such as fur and feathers. Bring a lunch or dine at the Blake House Café. Supply list provided.
Note: This class can be converted to an online class via Zoom if necessary.
