The fluidity and transparency of watercolor make it an excellent choice for painting skies, but achieving the subtlety and edge qualities can be difficult. Explore different approaches, from the uniform graded wash of a cloudless day to the riot of color in a dramatic sunset. Some experience with watercolors is recommended. Bring a lunch.
