Painting the Barns of New England in Watercolor

Barns have been part of the New England landscape for centuries. In New England they are a symbol and a reminder of the region’s agricultural heritage. This workshop will focus on capturing the beauty and grandeur of these iconic structures in a pastoral setting. Students will learn how to draw and paint them with an emphasis on composition and perspective. New England barns come in various shapes, sizes and ages. The class will begin with an instructor demonstration followed by class painting. This workshop is open to all levels with some drawing and watercolor experience suggested.
