This class has been canceled–the same class will be offered on Tuesday, August 24.
In this session we will go beyond the basics to consider composition in depth as well as specialized topics such as close-up photography, HDR, and focus-stacking. We’ll look at the why as well as the how and move away from taking a picture toward making a photograph. This will include discussions of the instructor’s examples, as well as any photos that participants would like to bring for review. Weather-permitting, we will spend some time outside on the Museums grounds applying some of these ideas. This class is intended for people who have some familiarity with aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. A camera with aperture priority, exposure compensation, histogram display, and adjustable ISO is recommended to get the most out of the class. Please bring a brown bag lunch or snack.
