Join us for an advanced screening of the first episode of season 4 of Poldark, a PBS Masterpiece British historical drama!

Aidan Turner (The Hobbit) stars as Ross Poldark, a redcoat who returns to Cornwall after battle to discover that his father is dead, his lands are ruined, and his true love is engaged to another. Can Poldark change his destiny, restore his lost fortune, and reclaim his love?

Following the episode, Vanessa James will discuss costume design for historical film and television. James is an international designer of sets, costumes, and lighting for theatre and an Emmy award-nominated art director for film and TV. Her designs in are in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. She is a professor of Theatre at Mount Holyoke College and the author of The Genealogy of Greek Mythology and Shakespeare’s Genealogies.
