Tom Wessels will offer an interactive Zoom program based on his books, “Forest Forensics” and “Reading the Forested Landscape”. Participants are asked to pre-submit their photos of interesting things they have seen while out walking or hiking. These might be interesting natural history examples, evidence of landscape history and/or disturbance or geological features for example. Tom will be shown these one by one. He will see them at the same time as the audience. He will identify/interpret what he is seeing. He welcomes questions and discussion throughout the presentation.
Please submit images to lectures@springfieldmuseums.org. Images must be received by Monday, November 27, 2023.
