Revolutionary Drinks: Coffee, Tea and Chocolate

March 11, 2017 @ 10:00 am12:30 pm
| Cost: $29 | Cost for Members: $25

Tea, coffee and chocolate are all tropical products, and they all have committed devotees (or maybe addicts!). They appeared in northern Europe in the 1650s, and in Massachusetts soon after, and their arrival changed the way people lived and had a major impact on the economy. Claire will discuss their origins, their early use in Europe and America, their popularity today, and the ways they can be used in cooking. We will have samples to taste with recipes to take home. Bring your favorite tea cup.
