Undeniably, women have played a significant role in advancing human civilization. This lecture series will survey a number of women whose abilities placed their stamp on their respective era. A queen, a courtesan, two empresses, a powerful political figure, a Native American princess, and a courageous, enslaved woman turned activist will provide much food for thought. Please join us for an engaging six-week journey as we learn more about: Elizabeth I, Madame de Pompadour, Catherine II of Russia, Empress Dowager Cixi of China, Golda Meir, Pocahontas and Harriet Tubman.
