Gather at the Dr. Seuss Memorial Sculpture Garden to hear books read aloud by some of our favorite local celebrities throughout the day. Listen for Megan Lambert, The Kellogg Crew, Chris Pisano, and more.

Test your aim, test your knowledge of Dr. Seuss trivia! From ping-pong toss to spinning the wheel, enjoy carnival games and win Seussian prizes!
Museum Galleries – Free with museum admission
Dr. Seuss Photo Booth, 10 am-5 pm
Be the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 or Thing 2, hold props, or stand alongside some of your favorite characters for a fun photo opp.

Explore the Science Museum and find the Roving Scientist. You never know what kind of demonstrations and hands-on activities they have in store for you!
Color of Felt Stovepipe Hat, 11 am-3 pm
Wear a hat just like the Cat’s or make your own wacky version with fabric markers. While supplies last.
Seuss Trivia, 11 am-3 pm
Spin the big wheel, answer a trivia question, and win a prize! Questions are suitable for all ages, prizes while supplies last.
Oh the Places You’ll Go, 11 am-3 pm
Ted Geisel grew up in Springfield and became one of the world’s most beloved authors and illustrators! We’re so proud, we built a museum celebrating his life and work! Maybe someday we’ll build a museum to celebrate you! What will be inside? Let us know and add a balloon to our collage.
Follow in Dr. Seuss’ Footsteps, 11 am-3 pm
Theodor Geisel spent his childhood in Springfield and explored the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum. See if you can discover any pieces that may have inspired his famous illustrations in this visual scavenger hunt.
More Wild Than You Think, 11 am-3 pm
What makes the Cat in the Hat so wild? Learn about real-life feline adaptation by getting up close to tracks, furs, skulls, claws, and teeth of the Cat’s wild friends!
Art Discovery Center, Noon-4 pm
Trace Chinese characters, try on costumes, play gallery games, peek under lift-up panels on the Wall of Symbols to discover the meaning behind Asian motifs, put on a puppet show, and make wearable bowties in celebration of the opening of the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum
