Explore new art forms in the Museum School’s art studios this Summer! This half-day program will feature a different art workshop every week. Using materials and equipment in the art studios, join in on the fun and unleash your creativity!
Artists can register for all 6 classes or choose individual classes to accommodate any summer schedule. Some classes will be offered multiple times.

July 8 -Clay Animal Creations with Laura Amazeen-LaPlante– Mold and sculpt small clay creations using different techniques and types of clay. Each project will feature a different animal, and you can create up to three! Creations will be ready for students to take home after class.
July 15- Sew Original! with Kathleen McCormick– Calling crafty kids! Join us to learn how to sew your very own tote bag or apron. Choose your patterns and pieces then assemble them all on your own to make a stylish statement. This class will show you how to use a sewing machine, explore types of fabric, and demonstrate how sewing patterns work. At the end of the class, you can take your creations home! No sewing experience necessary.
July 22- Make Your Mark: Printmaking with Laura Amazeen-LaPlante- Explore the different ways to make your mark in this printmaking workshop. You will learn about 4 different processes for printmaking and create at least 4 prints using a variety of materials. By the end of class, students will have a collection of amazing prints!

August 5- Beginning Bookmaking with Elizabeth Buck- Learn several different ways to create your own blank book to use for drawing, writing, painting, collage, or more! As you get to design your own covers and make your own book, learn about the tools, materials, and techniques of this craft! Make three new books, then finish up the class doing some drawing from observation in the galleries!
