Joe Carvalho and Elizabeth Roman have collaborated to write and edit “Nuestra Historia,” part of The Republican’s Heritage Book series. While Mr. Carvalho delved into the origins of Latinos in this area, which date back to the late 1800s, Ms. Roman focused on Latino agencies as well as political and business leaders who have made their homes in the Pioneer Valley.
