This is an outdoor class! New Date!
Wear a mask, bring your art supplies and a lunch! Following the CDC and Museum guidelines, we’ll begin our day safely-distanced outdoors on the loggia of the GWV Smith Art Museum going over urban drawing techniques and materials with artist Robert Markey. Then, we’ll spend the rest of the day drawing outdoors at Court Square in downtown Springfield – just a short walk from the Museums. Using pencils, pens, and sketchbooks, learn to draw life in the city, capturing scenic street views, unique buildings, and people. Practice the art of telling a story in the moment while learning basic drawing skills. For all levels of drawing. Supply list, lunch recommendations, and location info provided.
