Van Gogh for All Family Day

Join us as we celebrate the final days of the special exhibit Van Gogh for All with a fall festival inspired by the artist’s most well-known paintings!

Free with museum admission!

Special Exhibition: Van Gogh for All, 10 am-5 pm
Explore the life and work of one of the world’s great artists through modern technology and participatory learning.

Hayrides Around the Quadrangle, 10:30 am-1:30 pm
Meet the horses and climb into the wagon for a fun-filled Fall ride around the Quadrangle inspired by Van Gogh’s wheatfield scenes.

Artist Demonstration, 11 am-2 pm
Watch Wendy Decker create a plein air acrylic autumn painting inspired by Van Gogh’s sunflowers.

Paint a Starry Night Pumpkin, 11 am-3 pm
Paint a celestial, swirling design and add it to our pumpkin line-up on the Quad. Enjoy all the creations and take yours home at the end of the day.

Biotic Potential, 11 am-3 pm
How many seeds can a sunflower produce?  What environmental conditions need to exist for them to grow?  Learn how sunflowers and other organisms maximize their full potential each year and what adaptations they use to succeed in their habitats.

Sunflower Prints, Noon-4 pm
Create your own masterpiece inspired one of Van Gogh’s most iconic subjects using real sunflowers and block printing ink.
